Christkind vs Santa Claus

I know it's a little bit late and I'm also not sure if I may use this blog for my post but anyway...

The IG and STV Pädagogik are partying tomorrow night, as you hopefully already know.
So just for remembering: Santa Clause got caught by the Christkindl and we wanna make a party for that reason.

As it is somewhat a potluck please bring your own Heferl and something to drink and eat, share some good laughs with us and be ready for the midnight special. ^^

hope to see you, Julia

media and education

We have chosen media and education as our topic.
Some subthemes witch we are interested in and we want to talk about are media education in kindergarten and the influence of media on students.
We hope to get a lot of information for our research and we want to make a film out them.

coeducation

We picked out the topics feministic theorie and gender studies.
In theory you ask for differences between male and female and in practis an important question is how to deal with co- education.
We want to make a film about male and female behaviour and also the treatment of different genders in school.

Beccy, Manuel, Corinna

Gilmore girls: Real life or only television?

We have chosen this topic because we are something like Gilmore girls-Fans. Otherwise it's very interesting how many different types of education can be found in this serial.

In our paper we want to describe the four types of education.
To connect the types with the Gilmore girls we try to find these in the serial and we also want to show some examples.

Another aspect of our work are the relationships between the several persons.
To come back to our title, we write our own oppinion if the Gilmore girls, their relationship and education-styles, are real life or only television.

Alpha animal

We would like to choose the topic “roles in the school” for our presentation. Especially we will concentrate on the student roles within a class, for example which positions the different characters have in the class and how they work together.
We try to present these different role-situations in a film presentation.

A link between Music and Education

Our project trys to prove a link between music and education.
We will make a film about the influence of music on personality development.
The main research question is: Is music a educational or a socialisation tool or both.

GROUP DYNAMICS: we as guinea pigs

Our field of educational research is group work and its dynamics. It contains a lot of aspects such as body language, behaviour and roles. The interesting thing is that we want to reflect our own behaviour when we work together in the group.
In our presentation we will try to show some of the dynamics.

Poster Production "Theoretical Framework"

You produced great posters today, the different layers of discourse and practical examples as well as authors' names show your "thinking map". Use this knowledge to look at the world as an educational phenomenon.
Next week you will try to connect theory with practice and your multimedia ideas...

This weeks post is a chance to reflect on your work: comment on difficulties and highlights of the poster production!

By the way: our class dates changed, there will be a big presentation day on the 9th January 08!

Popstars in Educational Science

This is an exercise for next week:
Please google educational scientists, women and man, contemporary and historical and pick one name of a famous educational scientist... in your comment add the name and a biographical or theoretical characteristic of this person...
help:
google keywords to find people and
check out their context
what and with whom did they think? (theoretical approach)
where and how did they grow up to think this way? (biographical and cultural background)

Body Ritual Among the Nacirema

Please comment on today's discussion regarding the satirical ethnographic text!

This is what Valentin wrote originally:

First I want to say, Im raging। I just have kopied almost the hole Handappart Map, (because there are really interessting articels in it!!) but, I failed to check if the machine does the thing I want too. In short words: It did not! Damit, anyway I read the articel one time, and thats my first impressions about it.

I Body Ritual among the Nacirema
These people (the Naciremian) have a very strange way of doing their rituals. (But! they have some in comperhention to us). Anyway it is a very sadistic and masochistic way of carring for their own healthy.
For example: when the medicine man stabs his patients with needls or the holy mouth man "jabs an awl into an exposed nerve". As I read the following sentence I could not belive it." As part of this ceremony, women bake their heads in a small ovens for about an our." Can you imagine this?Nevertheless I think its kind of interessting to see, that here are people who have recognised that pain is a central part of life.

Group Projects

Our Group
Flo, Reini, Vali,
wants to do a film project about Music and Education.
Thats the idea.
Our questions could be:
Is music responsible for the growth, (development) of children or humans.
How does music influcene our education? etc.

Ja but the idea is clearMusic and Education Film Project.

Student Online Newspaper

Hi all
me and some of my friends had the idea to make our own student newspaper.
As it is easier to do this Online first, befor go into printing, it will be a online newspaper at the beginning.
If you want to join us, check out our Newspaper Idea Site at

studentenblatt.blogspot.com

first lesson

Before my first english lesson i was pretty nervous and this didn`t change during the english lesson. I didn`t understand anything and i nearly cried because the others seemed to be so good in english. Despite it was good for me beeing confronted with the language and i enjoyed to take a look into english newspaper. I`m looking forward to study english a little bit harder because it`s an important language and it`s embarrasing that i`m not so good.
